Other conditions, he adds, can create bald patches or areas and each can have different treatment options. “Hairline restoration or modification is common for women to offer fullness, shape, and a more balanced face or youthful appearance. This requires a surgical option,” says Ziering. Even though their hair pattern is significantly different from that of men, women can make for very good transplant candidates, he says.
