Keralase Combines Medical and Laser Therapy to Treat Hair Loss
A wide variety of hair restoration treatments are available at Ziering Medical, from surgical operations to non-surgical procedures. Dr. Craig Ziering and his team can work with patients seeking non-invasive hair restoration, or whose hair loss issues are not severe enough to warrant hair transplantation surgery, to formulate personalized treatment plans using the appropriate technique. These methods include cutting edge laser technology that can promote hair growth and scalp health, such as KeraLase™ treatments that combine laser therapy with hair growth serums for even better results.
How Laser Therapy Works
Though it sounds like something from science-fiction, lasers for hair restoration have proven to be effective, non-invasive, painless, and with no known side effects. Patients experience a slowing down of hair loss and new hair growth as a result of laser treatments. Existing hair becomes fuller and thicker due to the effects of the low-level laser hair therapy at Ziering. This is achieved by utilizing lasers tuned to specific wavelengths that deliver doses of energy to the hair follicles, stimulating them and promoting the growth of hair.
The technology has matured to the point where Ziering Medical offers several types of laser hair restoration treatments, including: standard laser therapy in-clinic, KeraLase™ and the Ziering Cap or Z-Cap.
KeraLase™ Uses Laser Therapy and Hair Growth Serums
Ziering Medical hair restoration clinics perform this simple pain-free procedure that combines laser therapy with the unique and patent-pending KeraFactorยฎ Serum designed to promote hair growth. This next generation therapy has been clinically proven to treat hair loss, improve scalp health and stimulate hair growth.
With hair loss, early intervention is key to delivering the best hair restoration outcomes. KeraLase™ is ideal for men and women alike and can really help younger patients looking to preserve as much of their native hair as possible. The treatment is a two step process:
Step 1
Treating the scalp with the Ultra Laser. The area of the scalp with thinning hair is prepared by the laser, which creates tiny microchannels in the scalp – an optimal environment for maximum absorption of the KeraFactorยฎ Serum.
These channels are created by an Ultraยฎ laser with 1927nm wavelength. The micro-channels it creates on the surface of the scalp have been shown to deliver 5 times higher absorption of nano-liposomes, which is part of the KeraFactorยฎ Serum delivery system.
Step 2
KeraFactorยฎ Serum massaged gently into the laser-treated areas. The medication is a compound of 5 bioidentical growth factors aimed to stimulate hair growth and 2 skin proteins which revitalize the scalp. Together, these proprietary biomimetic synthetic versions of growth factors and proteins comprise a new multifaceted topical formation. Specifically formulated to address thinning hair, this formula is wrapped in individual nano-liposome casings to enhance delivery into the skin and scalp. This process the effect of increasing blood supply and facilitating the transition of resting hairs into the actively growing phase of hair growth for optimal results.
A minimum of 4 treatments scheduled one month apart is required, and an at-home follow up of KeraFactor product applied morning and evening is needed to realize the best results. This is a 30 minute in-clinic treatment and may be used as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with hair transplants, or combined with the Z-Factors treatment. No downtime is required by this hair loss treatment so patients do not need to take time off from work or other activities.
Takeaway
All in all, laser therapy is an effective non-invasive treatment to help stop hair loss that has been proven to deliver results. KeraLase™ combines this technology with the KeraFactorยฎ hair growth serum for enhanced effect.
The benefits of laser therapy for patients are many:
