FORMULA ZMin
FOR HAIR RE-GROWTH
FORMULA ZMin
Minoxidil has been one of the most popular and effective therapy options to treat pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia since its FDA approval. In fact, minoxidil is the only FDA-approved hair loss medication to treat female pattern hair loss and stimulate hair regrowth. It slows hair loss by prolonging the growth phase of the hair follicles.
Clinical studies have shown that minoxidil helps treat hair loss & maintain hair density. Interestingly, minoxidil, combined with other substances, can provide even more effective and long-term results than minoxidil alone. This is what Dr. Ziering offers to his patients and many of them are happy with their results.
“Formula ZMIN” is a customized, compounded prescription solution that contains the FDA-approved hair growth medication minoxidil, Retinoic Acid for enhanced penetration, and a sophisticated blend of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-androgen ingredients. ZMIN offers a more powerful, user-friendly solution for stimulating hair growth and decreasing hair loss in men and women.
A one-on-one consultation at Ziering Medical is the best way to determine if you are a good candidate for a prescription of ZMIN. Routine medical tracking is recommended in order to achieve the best possible results with ZMIN or any hair restoration regimen.

Redness, dryness, flaking, inflammation and discomfort at the scalp are possible. Skin irritation and other related side effects are extremely rare with minoxidil ZMIN because it has anti-inflammatory properties and contains absolutely NO propylene glycol (found in over-the-counter minoxidil solutions).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- What are the benefits of ZMIN?
Formula ZMIN speeds hair growth, nourishes and thickens thinning hair and helps prevent shedding. Still, the best way to know whether ZMIN is the right treatment option for you is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Ziering and his team.
2. How is ZMIN different from just using Rogaine (minoxidil)?
Unlike Rogaine, which only contains a single active ingredient, Formula ZMIN is a customized, compounded prescription solution. It contains the FDA approved hair growth medication minoxidil, retinoic acid for enhanced penetration, and a sophisticated blend of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-androgen ingredients without propylene glycol (a common irritant).
3. What should I expect?
Results can be seen in 6-8 weeks, but significant results take 3-6 months to show up. Your hair loss will decrease and then you will notice new growth start to appear. The new hair growths will be fine and lighter initially then become thicker, darker hair.
You may experience shedding of the older, thin hairs in the first two weeks to make way for thicker, looking hair.
4. What are the common side effects from ZMIN?
At first, a small percentage of patients have a little irritation or itching, but this will gradually stop within the first couple of weeks.
5. Will I lose the hair that I have gained if I stop taking ZMIN?
In order to maintain the gains you will see, it is important to remain on ZMIN for as long as directed by your physician.
6. How often do I use ZMIN?
ZMIN comes as a topical solution so it’s very easy to use. Just use it once or twice a day as directed by your physician (20 drops per application).
While many patients prefer a topical minoxidil solution, we do offer oral minoxidil. ZMIN is applied directly to the scalp where you are experiencing hair thinning and oral minoxidil comes in the form of pills or tablets which are taken by mouth. We prescribe both options to cater to the individual preferences and medical needs of our patients. To learn more about the differences between minoxidil pills and our custom topical solution and determine which option is best suited for you and your hair loss, we recommend scheduling a personal consultation with one of our Ziering physicians.
